Integration of Micronutrient Supplementation within the health system in three districts of Nepal

SDPC has always strived to prevent and manage malnutrition for several years now. The experience gained in the last few years in the field of nutrition has provided us valuable proficiency to run the MI-funded pilot project in three districts of Nepal.

Good nutrition is a prerequisite for both mother and child. SDPC has been appointed as an implementing partner of Micronutrient Initiative (MI) over a period of 18 months i.e. April 2014 to October 2015. The overall goal of the project was to enhance knowledge, skills and behavior of health workers, FCHVs and members of Health Facility Operation and Management Committee for strengthening the integration of micronutrient supplementation within the health system in three districts of Nepal. The major activities of the project were to provide training to the health personnel and to conduct monitoring and strengthening activities.
